Colgate Total Clean Mint

I guess you can say that Colgate Total has become a classic. Everyone has heard of its 12 hour protection from all kinds of dental problems, and everyone has tried at least one variety of this toothpaste. As many other well-known brands, Colgate tries to keep the customers' interest by introducing a lot of different sub-names - Colgate Total Advanced Fresh, Colgate Total Whitening, etc. I have not tried them all, but I do have a favorite: Colgate Total Clean Mint.

The toothpaste comes in an easily recognized red box with Colgate's logo. It has a strong, sweet minty taste, very pleasant but not much different from other mint toothpastes. When brushing teeth, the toothpaste foams just a little bit, instantly freshening up my mouth; I like that. I also like the clean feeling this toothpaste leaves, plus of course it is nice to know that I am using such an advanced product that not only fights tartar and germs but also helps to prevent cavities and gum problems.

I admit I am spoiled with cheap yet good quality toothpastes like Ultrabright that you can buy for under $1, so even though Colgate is relatively inexpensive, I still view it as splurging when I buy a Colgate toothpaste. It is well worth it though. Colgate always leaves up to its name.
