I've been here for 4 plus years. I'm surprised I'm alive. There is really one main thing in College Park MD, the university of Maryland. If you love the colors Red, Black, "old gold" (yellow), and white, then this is the place for you. Here everything follows that color scheme. The buildings are old and brick, and there are long hallways with lots of doors. There is a main drag with restaurants that are either cheap and crowded, or cheap and crowded. If you're a night owl that's when the real fun begins... 2-3 am any day of the week if you want to see drunken hordes then this is the place for you. It happens quite often that a bar gets shut down during the night; if this happens there is no hope for certain lanes of traffic or for even some buses to maintain an accurate schedule. Giant crowds of drunken idiots have been known to flood the streets on their eternal search for cheap booze and Greek letters. Once let out of the safety of a bar, of which there are many, these disillusioned future leaders of America are often times seen wandering aimlessly, passing out on sidewalks, falling down stairs, fighting, swearing, or just general obnoxious behavior... if you enjoy the idea of being in an enclosed space with someone who is so drunk they forget their name, pass out, or vomit; then you should definitely check out the Shuttle-UM transit system that goes till 4 AM most days. So please come out and chill in this most glorious of college towns, who knows we might even set a few couches on fire for you.
