Comfy Nike Sneakers
By mickeem onThis sneaker is labeled as a running sneaker. I am not sure about running, but as an every day shoe, it's great! This is the lightest shoe (athletic or not) that I have ever worn.
Its almost like being barefoot-THERE IS NO SUPPORT. If anyone is looking for a shoe for walking (lets say, around WDW???) this is not the shoe. However, its a great all around shoe. When I wear them I really feel like I am barefoot, you can feel the bumps on the ground (which is why I wonder how a runner can wear these.)
I love to just slip these on and go. They have nylon around the strings, and the back, so you can just slip them on and off.
BUT because of this nylon, the back tends to wear out after a while , and the nylon comes apart from the rubber on the sole. Since I bought these, they have come out with newer versions. These newer versions are a bit beefier, and hold up better.
I got these at FootLocker, but my latest pair, I got at NikeID.com. You can actually create your own shoe there. Pick out all the colors, design what you want, you can even put your name where it would say NIKE. Very cool. I was able to pick the colors I wanted. What a great idea.
So, if you are looking for a shoe to just bum around in, this is great. If you are looking for a walker, don't expect to get any support from this one!!

Sounds like a great run around shoe. I like the slip on part. Thanks
Sounds nice. Thanks for sharing the information and you experience with this shoe.
$99 is too much for a walking around shoe. These should have been better made for the money they cost.
I should have said they are half the price in the store- like Footlocker, but online, at Nike ID, you get to design them yourself, thats probably why they are more.. In the store you only have about 4 different colors to choose from.
I love Niki's shoes...they make a lot of different types for everyone.
The price is very high for a simple walk around shoe. Though if it's comfortable for you that's really all that matters. I'm curious as to why they say it's a running shoe though. If the soles that thin, I'd run barefoot:)
I would certainly pass on these. It's all about support for me when it comes to shoes.
That's too bad that for the price there isn't more support in the shoes-I love the red color though!!!!!
I love shoes that are light and comfortable and it seems Nike always answer to that, thanks for sharing.
Nike has been around long enough to know what the consumer needs. Sounds like you got a good product.
