Compact desk does the job.

Last year when my husband got his new computer we had a bit of a problem.We only had the one desk that my computer was on. My desk is very big butnot roomy enough to put another computer on when I have all my paper work, bills, printer and more on it.So for some time my husband ended up using the top of my chest freezer to put his computer on, which is not the most convenient place to put a computer considering I go in the freezer every day to get food out for dinner.

We didn't want to go to a big expense for a desk like we did when we bought my desk, since his desk wasmainly for his computer for which he basically only used to play games, so no need to have any shelves, storage or anything fancy, but yet we wanted it sturdy enough so if it was bumped it would stay together.

Well going through the flyers one day I came across the Big Lots flier the one store that never came to mind.There was a nice littlecorner compact looking desk at a reasonable price.We went to see what it looked like in person.The display model didn't seem to sturdy, mind you the size was perfect for the spot we wanted to put the desk.We figured the display model was put together just for show and when we put it together it would be much more solid. So we bought this desk.

Once home my husband put the desk together, it was rather fast and simple to assemble.We were right when we put it together it was way more sturdy then the display. This desk is wooden with a black frame, pull out shelf for the key board, two little swivel shelves ideal for speakers, and a shelf above for a printer if wanted, and it came with a fabric chair to match. The size ofis about 50 inches high by about 34 inches wide. This desk fit perfect in the corner of our office/playroom.We have had this desk now for just under a year and it is still nice and solid.The main part of the desk easily holdsa 17 inch monitor.

There was one downfall to this desk which is the pull out keyboard shelf is just big enough for the keyboard, you cannot put the mouse on the shelf, the mouse has to go on the main part of the desk with the monitor.My husband doesn't seem to mind this, for me I find it a little awkward.And the chair that come with it is not at all comfortable, mindyou we have an office chair set up with the desk so the chair that came with it is not even being used, for a quick fix this chair would be fine though.

My husband is very content with this little compact desk and you can't beat the price.
