Compact Desk with great storage

I needed a desk that could fit in with the two rooms of my "apartment" in my uncle's basement. The search criteria was: it had to be small to fit in my room without taking up too much space; it had to be sturdy without a wooden base due to the occasional flooding that occurs.
I searched several websites and browsed a few stores. Finally, I found this awesome desk on Walmart.com. It had a monitor stand which was perfect for my laptop. This left me plenty of room for workspace and my wireless keyboard and mouse. It also has a tower shelf, but I found a great use for it as a foot stand for the foot pedal I use for transcription. This wonderful little desk has a side stable that swings out for my printer. The side table has breaks on the wheels so you don't have to worry about bumping it out of place.
It was put to the test shortly after I recived it. Another flooding in the basement. I was so happy, that everything on my desk was safe and sound. The legs did not rust at all and nohting had mold or mildew on it once the water dried up.
For the price of this desk, I got just what I needed. I love this desk. It was easy to follow the instructions to put it together, and none of the parts were missing. I would definately recommend this desk to anyone looking to save space.
I have had this desk for months now and have no complaints.

What a cute little desk! The larger picture shows just how much space you have on the larger part of the unit... wow! enough room for so much equipment, including a desk top light! I am glad that it held up well to your basement flood. That could have been really bad.

Looks like you found a cute little desk that could also handle your flooding problems. It could not have been easy to find what you needed but it looks like this one works great.
This desk is a great bargain and the fact that the legs did not rust after the flood is a total bonues. I love your thriftiness! Way to go and way to share a great find!
