Im trying to find ways to cut my energy usage.Im also want to find products that last!I hate changing light bulbs.I just think they should last.

One of the best places to install a compact fluorescent is in an porch light fixture. These tend to stay on for an extended period of time and you are less concerned with the color of the light.

This 27W is equivalent to a 100W incandescent.Actually it puts out a little more lumens (light) than the 100W.

This bulb is rated to last 13 times longer than a regular incandescent. This is a major plus for my entry light that requires a 12 ladder to reach.

There is a concern with the disposal of CPLs, please return to a store container.

I plan to continue to replace all of my exterior flood lamps with CPLs later this spring.

We have had very good luck with these bulbs, and are replacing all of our bulbs with them where we can.

We've replaced all our bulbs we could with these to help save electricity. They work GREAT. And we haven't noticed any difference in our light.

We switched a year ago and love them!!! In fact, one cool thing to do is give them for Christmas presents. My friend gave us a "green bag" and it had lots of bulb, green cleaning products and such. It is a marvelous way to spread the green-message and compensate for the expense of switching all at once. We are going to do the same thing for some of our friends this year. Especially those who are hard to buy for. This is a universally pleasing gift. Who can't use light bulbs??

I didn't know these had to be disposed of any differently, thanks for the heads up there. Great idea on a "green gift pack", that's something to keep in mind for gift giving this year!

I also prefer fluorescent lamp to bulb and it does save my electric bill too. Thanks for sharing that interesting experience and product.

We have also been switching to these types of bulbs. It's great that they last so much longer.

We now use these bulbs exclusively. Indoors or outdoors they are highly energy efficient and very long lasting. I buy mine by the case online for around $26.00 for 12 bulbs.

I use the same thing on both my porch lights because I was changing them before about every week. That runs in to lots of money when you think about. Well done!
