i was planning to buy an asus eee pc, for its compact size and weight so ican carry around any time anywhere, and i found out that the capacity on video/display proccessing has limitations, now the store attentdant offer me this compaq laptop, with amd turion, 14" display, lightweight, 3gb of RAM, 240gb hardrive, plus a legit window vista starter. it may not have the physical traits that i was looking for but it indeed has my functional requirement, since i am an artist/designer.
things i like: good design, functinaly, and ease of use, batterry can last up to 4hrs, but dont over drain it, free vista starter.
things i dont like: gloss finish, leaves finger print, pront to scratches, vista have to tweek and other software especially old version wont work, 14" display, the 12" version is bit more expensive, no midi interface or line in. resolution i think its second great.
but still it satisfy me, use it to record demos, design plan, internet connections, and other stuff hardly play games on my computer.

i think i need to do some more research on this
I have a HP Compact laptop and I love it. I can carry it anywhere and it comes with vista. Not to mention it is fast and has a dvd player. It even has a wifi card which is a plus.
