Finding the perfect laptop, at an affordable price, isn't always easy. Around a year and half ago though, I stumbled upon the perfect laptop. I was a bit skeptical of whether or not this would be a good machine though since it was made by Compaq.

The Compaq Presario v5101us has proven to be one of the best laptops I have ever used. It has a 2.0 GHz processor, 60G hard drive, and 512MB of ram. This was perfect for the applications I had in mind for this laptop, which included word processing, email, and internet surfing.

I have used this laptop everyday since I purchased it and have not had any problems whatsoever. The battery only last 2 hours, but it recharges so quickly that it's not a big deal.

This laptop would be great for a college student, professional, or even the casual computer user.

I do recommend that when you first purchase this machine that you take time to remove all the junk software that Compaq loads onto all of their computers. Most of these titles are 30 day trials anyway and only take up space.
