A couple of years ago, probably three now, my wife and I decided that we'd like to buy a laptop computer. We had a regular desktop one that was fine, but we like to travel and we thought it would be great to take on vacation with us. We could watch movies on the laptop while waiting for our flight or even while on the flight. So we bought one. We really didn't know much about them and they all looked the same. We figured that a bigger screen would be the best but it isn't because it's heavy. I think that having a laptop is nice, but ours is not the one that you should buy.

I should tell you that we have treated this laptop like it's a baby. We have been very careful with it and then one day the screen goes out. Not even the entire screen, just half of it. We took it in to see if it could get repaired and it will cost us just as much as it did to buy it in the first place.

Do I think you should buy this type of laptop, no. Do I think that laptops in general are a great idea? YES.
