I have baby fine, board straight hair. I bought these curlers hoping to be able to add some body to my style. When I took the curlers out, I was amazed! I had a head full of curls! Long lasting curls too. I curled my hair in the morning and it lasted until I went to bed. It's easy to use these curlers. You just gather a section of hair and wrap it up and clip the ends of the curler together. That's it! I have found that it works great on fine to medium hair types. If you have very thick hair these aren't the right curlers for you. After the curlers have cooled down, unsnap them and unroll them. Let your curls rest and then gently style your hair. I use my fingers to separate the curls. If you use a brush or comb you will get waves instead of curls. Just a spritz of hair spray and you are set. I highly recommend these curlers. You can find them on Amazon.com at many different price ranges. The best price I found was $16.00. For some reason these are not available in stores anymore.
