Condemned: Criminal Origins

Condemned: Criminal Origins is an FPS for the Xbox 360 game system. Condemned, a release title for the 360, combines an interesting mix of FPS, Survival/Horror, and playing detective. Your character, and FBI Agent, is tasked with hunting down a notorious serial killer, The Match Maker. I found the game to contain a gripping, chilling story with plenty of sudden scares. The melee system is very brutal and will leave you feeling like it's you having your bones jarred with every fierce blow from the aggressive, nothing-to-lose enemies you face. There is surprisingly little gunplay in the game, which I found to be quite refreshing. The gunplay is realistic and minimal, leaving you only the ammo you have when you find the gun. Also, the graphics, while dated, are still quite good. Overall, I think it's definitely worth a purchase.
