Confessor By Terry Goodkind By jennz on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is Terry Goodkind's final book in the Sword of Truth series, book number 11. The series is a fatasy/sci-fi genre and Goodkind writes it well. The book picks up where the previous one left of, with Kahlan still caught up in the chainfire spell and not remembering who she is and Richard still a prisoner of Jagang's. It seems impossible for Goodkind to find a way to reunite Richard and Kahlan, break the chainfire spell, and defeat Jagang while remaining true to the story but he does it and does it well. Goodkind brings back characters from the previous books and weaves them seamlessly into the story. Each one brings some unique talent that only they can provide to help defeat Jagang. Goodkind gets a little long winded and goes off into his own diatribe about value and religion in the end but that's pretty easy to skim over. That's my only complaint about this book. I enjoyed the twist in the ending and the closure Goodkind provided to his epic series.
