Consumer Cellular Cheaper than Most

Reviewing: Consumer Cellular Cell Phone Rates
Purchased at: Consumer Cellular Online     Price: $20.00 USD

I am a member of AAA.The last magazine I received from them mentioned a company called Consumer Cellular.AAA members were offered a discount to try out this company.I was looking for a phone plan that I could pay monthly, but I didn't want to spend the minimum $40 that other providers offer. It turns out Consumer Cellular starts plans out at $10 per month. You get no minutes with that plan and just pay for when you use the phone.I chose the next option of $20 per month with 100 free minutes each month.I don't use my phone much. There are a few other plans as well.

What you are going to love is that this company has no contracts. You can cancel anytime and you will never be charged a fee.So you can try them out and you are not bound to stay with them if you don't like them.

You have 5 choices of cell phones and one of those choices is a free phone.I opted for the Motorolla Razor.I love my phone.I received everything quickly and the service is excellent. The phone stays charged longer than any other phone I have ever had.

I highly recommend you check out this company for some great deals.

I love my razor, too! I couldn't do with the minutes because I use my cell as my primary phone but this sounds wonderful for people who just use them once in a while.

Thanks for sharing your experience with this cellular phone. As long as you have good service and don't go over your minutes this sounds like a good plan.

I'm glad you're happy with your phone/service, but seriously, if you had shopped around more, you could have found a much better deal. Virgin, for instance, offers 200 minutes for $20 a month, and the minutes carry over! And they charge 20cents, not 25, for minutes above and beyond your plan. That, and their phones are cheaper, and they charge no activation fee. Sad thing is, Virgin isn't even the best no-contract phone service out there. Page Plus beats it both with its $40 unlimited plan, and the $0.12 a minute per-minute plan. Straighttalk by Tracfone offers a $30 plan for 1000minutes and 1000 texts... Consumer Cellular has clever marketing, and it is certainly better than signing an expensive contract with, say, Sprint or At&t... but as a no-contract dealer, it's pedestrian at most. You can do better.

Seriously , do not even consider "Consummer Cellular". I am senior citizen, I received a AAA magazine with Consummer Cellular Advertising. I opened an account, I use my phone just for emergency calls like doctor appointment or nurse calls (just a for few minutes no lengthy calls). I received the first month a bill of $239.12. When I tried to call, they do not even want to take my call or they put me on hold for hours. I do not advise anyone to open account with them, they have a shady business practices.
