I have been going to Cook Forest, Pennsylvania since I was born. We have a family summer house with 5 acres about 10 miles away from Cook Forest. There is so much to do there that a week is not long enough to get everything done. There is a beautiful national park that takes you on a hike on the Allegheny mountians. There is a river that you can go rafting on, tubing or hours of canoeing! There are so many little knick knack shops to stop at. The thing I love the most are the go - karts, water slides, and the horse back riding. The view is AMAZING and unforgettable. There are plenty of campsites and cabin rentals giving you a great option of places to stay. Whenever we go we never leave broke because the prices are very reasonable, and believe me, we have been on a budget most of our lives. There is never a hard time finding a place to sit and eat, and the food melts in your mouth there. Cook Forest is quiet, beautiful, and a very peaceful place to visit.

Cook Forest is a State Park, but the North Country National Scenic Trail traverses the park from north to south. The Cathedral of the Pines virgin forest remnant is totally awesome.
