Cooking Mama By Sam Rockwell By Sam Rockwell on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Cooking Mama is an altogether different kind of genre that recently became popular due to the touch screen of the Nintendo DS. In this game, you are basically mixing, cutting, setting the time, and other things in which is basically steps in creating food. Timing is everything, however, because if taken too long ingredients get burned and that soup or salad you're trying to prepare doesn't quite turn out like you want. The graphics and sounds aren't exactly noteworthy, but that's not the point of Cooking Mama, which plays like a collection of minigames based on precision and timing. The learning curve is shallow and anyone can jump right in, which is a plus. Cooking Mama, while not epic or even deep, is a good game to keep your mind busy for 15 minutes.
