Cooks Essentials Ice Cream Maker By J Montano on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This Ice Cream Maker from Cooks Essentials is about the third ice cream machine that I've owned. I am always in seach of a good machine to make yummy homemade ice cream. This Cooks Essential is my favorite of the ones I've bought.

QVC has their own line of cookware & small appliances called Cook's Essentials. In my opinion, they are very high quality products. When I saw this ice cream maker, I knew I had to give it a try. I have not been disappointed.

With this machine, you don't have to mess with ice or salt. That is such a plus, in my opinion. There is a removable canister that you place right in your freezer. I usually wash it after each use and just leave it in the freezer until I am ready to use it again. You must leave it in there (freezer) for at least 8 hours. After your canister is ready, you pour your ingredients in the top and you have ice cream in about 30 or 40 minutes. In churning. Everything is automatic.

What I have experienced with other machines is that the ice cream stays too watery and never gets a hard, ice cream consistancy. The Cook's Essential freezes pretty hard. That is a good thing!
