Cordova Garden Gloves By Jan Mayrhofer on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

If you do much yard work, then you know that you can never have too many pairs of gardening gloves. Every year when the gardening season is new, I end up having trouble finding a full pair of gloves to use. What happens is that I always wear out the ends of the fingers in the right hand because that's the one I pull weeds with! So gloves can get expensive!

I was not really looking for gardening gloves when I found these. I was grocery shopping and happened to see them. I couldn't believe they were only $1.99! Normally I would expect to pay at least $5.00 for a pair of gloves like these.

These gloves have the fingers and palms covered with latex to make them water proof, which is handy. A growing garden must be kept watered so is almost always at least damp, making weeding a messy job. This type of glove protects your fingernails and the rest of your hand from becoming full of dirt, while not being too hot because the rest of the fabric on the glove is breathable.

Now I'm set for another season of pulling weeds - and barely budged the budget!
