Corelle Impressions By bubbacat on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

For those of you who have gone through the toddler years, I believe you will understand why I bought Corelle. I owned a really nice set of dishes I bought while on vacation .The set was not an eight piece setting. Back then we had no children so we bought less. Now that the kids are growing and feeding themselves or throwing the food on the floor, we found the need for more dishes. Especially when they throw the plate on the floor and it breaks. We own fewer and fewer dishes. Ah! Corelle. These dishes are supposed to be break resistant. I saw the Impressions line at Walmart and thought I would give it a try. The design wasn't too bad, a leaf pattern. I was more concerned about the durability. Alot of people think Corelle are just plain cheap plates. I found them to be durable-microwave safe and dishwasher safe and chip resistant. They are light weight. We used to use alot of paper plates. Now we use Corelle instead. We have more dishes so we can use more of them and not run out.Getting through the toddler years is a real challenge . Corelle makes it easier in the kitchen.
