“Country Wisdom & Know-How” is another country living / live off the land guide. However, this one is a bit different from most of the others you will run across.

The first thing you will notice is its size. It's not the size of a standard trade paperback. Instead, it's like a large magazine, measuring approx. 10” x 13”. Now combine that with the fact that there are three columns of really tiny print on each page, and you'll understand my readability rating.

The information it contains, however, is great! This book doesn't have a single author, as it is a compilation of articles put together by the editors over at Storey Books. It contains over 1,800 illustrations and diagrams packed into just 480 pages. This jewel is a great reference book, with tons of practical “how-to” and hands-on applications.

If you're considering a move to real country living, or if you find yourself living there already, this book is a must have. In today's day and age I don't know if anyone can truly “live off the land”, but this book will help you get as close as possible.

It's an A+ grade for “Country Wisdom & Know How”.
