If you're into fishing with live bait, this CPP 5-gallon bucket Bait lid is for you! This lid converts any clean/new 5-gallon (paint/construction style) bucket into a bait bucket.
The bait lid fits the bucket perfectly. It has an access port and hang tab for an air bubbler and hose. It also has an access hatch to get your bait out and on the hook fast.
Overall I really like the design of this CPP product. I love the tab and port functionality. The only fault I find with it is using the hatch with a net.
The access hatch is only about 5 inches in diameter. If you use a net to pull out your bait, you need a narrow net with a long handle. If you've ever tried to net a fish in an aquarium, you know those buggers are fast and tricky to catch. The same goes for this application. Having the ability to use wider bait nets would really make the job easier.
The product is really well made for durability. It is plastic. However it does not flex and is pretty thick. The lip that seals on to your bucket is secure. Even the hatch is sturdy. The hatch latch flexes well yet holds tight. You need not worry about losing your bait if the bucket tips over in rough water.
We've had this lid for 3 years. I would say we've gotten our money's worth out of it. We would definitely purchase another if this one cracked or failed in some way.

This lid is really good, I've had one for about 5 years and it still looks new. It is really sturdy and won't break unless you abuse it of course. It's very convenient because it fits on most buckets and it holds your air pump.
Yes, this bucket is for me! We have one too but haven't fished in years.
