Craftsman 22 Inche Hedge Trimmer By kateri27 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
My favorite part of this hedge trimmer is the fact that it is gas. You have no messy cords to deal with. I have been using a hedge trimmer for years for the large bushes that line the side of our house. I hated dealing with a cord when trying to work over those large bushes.
The hedge trimmer starts up easily and offers a precision cut. I have a sizeable yard and my hands do not seem to get all that tired when using this hedge trimmer. I would say it only weighs about 10 pounds.
I have been happy with the ease of use. It does not vibrate all that much, and although I personally find it loud my husband thinks it is one of the quieter models available.
One gripe I do have is that it only seems to work well with thicker bushes but requires multiple swipes when cutting thinner branch shrubs and grasses.

Nice to have a gas trimmer. I always worried about cutting the cord on the electric ones.
Thanks for sharing the information. Gas trimmers are much better the electric and usually have more power.
I too love gas hedge trimmers much better than the corded ones. They make it so much easier to maneuver around. Glad to hear that this pair starts up easily and offers a precision cut. Nice job!
Sounds great. If I had a corded one, I'd probably cut the cord, LOL!
This sounds like just the right size hedge trimmer for me. I am on the short side and I have difficulty lifting heavy objects. This hedge trimmer is light weight. I too love the fact that it is gas powered and that there is no cord to deal with.
Gas powered seems the way to go-I will tell my husband about this (he loves Craftsman!)
Glad that this does work with thicker branch and does not vibrate too much. You have found a really good hedge trimmer, congrats.
I like the gas powered hedge trimmers much better than the electric ones. I accidently cut through an extension cord on our electric model.
Corded hedge trimmers make me nervous....I'm all for the gas variety! This one sounds like a winner.
