Craftsman Soldering Gun By Dadof2Disneyboys on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have had my Craftsman Soldering Gun for a few years now. I received it for a Christmas gift. I'm not sure if I would have purchase this tool myself, but it has been nice to have it for a few things here and there. I just don't get as much use out of it as I do most of my other tools. It is 100 watt light duty. It is good for any type of electrical work when you need to solder your wires together. To use you just plug it in and press the trigger and it heats up pretty instantly and is ready to solder your two wires together. So it is a good tool for anyone that does small electrical work. Being that I don't do much electrical work, I don't get too much use out of this tool. I have mostly just used it for repairing our children's toys. And it has worked well for that. Anytime a wire comes loose in a toy I am able to open up the toy and solder the wires back to where they need to be.

Are the guns better than the wands for general use?
