Cranberry Keeps Me From Crying By Sparkle333 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
If you've ever had a urinary tract infection (UTI) then you know how painful and uncomfortable they can be. Burning and bladder spasms make for a less than pleasant existence. I recently had to take 5 rounds of antibiotics to cure a resistant bacteria. That is not good for anyone.
So as a preventative, I am now taking Cranberry Supplements by AZO. I have tried several different kinds, and when my usual choice was not available, I decided to give these a try.
The pros are that this one not only has cranberry, but it also has a probiotic to help with urinary health. In addition to that, it has 100% of your daily required Vitamin C. Sometimes you just can't drink enough cranberry juice to be helpful, and also a lot of it contains too much sugar. Though I have found one that is lower in sugar, and drink it occasionally. Still, on a regular basis it is good to know that you can take the supplements.
The cons are that you have to take 2 tablets daily, with water. One of the previous cranberry supplements I tried only required one pill a day. And also, there is a strange aftertaste from these pills. You may take up to 4 tablets daily, but should not exceed that amount.
I will let you know how it works over time. To have the added Vitamin C and probiotic is nice. And supposedly, they have improved the formula to make this one more potent. There are 60 tablets to a box.
