The Crate MX15R is a worthy solid-state amp. It is a 15-watt amp with a built in overdrive channel, 3-band equalization, and spring reverb. It also supports a headphone jack along with a speaker jack, and thus can be used also as a preamp.

The sound is pretty amazing for a 15-watt amp. It can definitely power through unmonitored drums, and can pack a punch if monitored. In general, the amp is too loud for private use, and should be used in band rehearsals.

The size is pretty big. It is about the size of 3 14" monitor laptops stacked on top of each other. The construction of the machine is solid wood, covered with some kind of fake plastic leather. There is a grip on the top for easy mobile function.

Although it is not as powerful as a full on double cab, nor is it as warm or vintage as a tube amp, the solid-state Crate will perfectly complement your sound in any kind of rehearsal.
