Crayola Bathtub Paints Are A Waste! By kateri27 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
My daughter loves bath time and she loves coloring so I decided to buy her Crayola bath time paints for Easter. I have always found that crayola stands for quality and have never had any problems with them so I figured this was a sure fire win. I was so very wrong.
They were in my opinion a little expensive, but I used to have bathtub crayons when I was young and I LOVED them. I knew these were not crayons but I figured that they were little paints that you squeeze out on a paintbrush and paint on the bathtub. Well I was wrong.
These are finger paints you use in the bathtub, but the concept of that it seriously flawed. You have to have a special cup to squeeze the paint into. Then you really need to use a whole tube in order to finger paint on the tub. The paint is really gloppy and it really doesn't stick that well at all.
The package comes with five colors and so far we have only used on of the tubes. It was more a pain to play with then anything, and if I could return these, I would. Do not buy them!

I don't understand Crayola's thinking on their "bathtub" line at all. This is another one that just flopped. The other one coagulated, leaving greyish nasty clumps in the water, sending my autistic son into absolute fits.
I guess no matter where you fingerpaint it needs up a mess, even in the bathtub. Sorry, they were a disappointment.
I had a similar experience. Hated them. Thanks for the reinforcement... my daughter still triesto get me to buy it again.
My son had these when he was younger, I agree they are a waste!
I thought these looked like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing. I don't think I'll waste my money now!
How sad! They look so much fun! I almost bought some the other day, because who would not want to color in the bathtub????
That's disappointing... I heard that bath crayons are a lot of fun, but I guess you have to know the right brand.
Sounds like a bad marketed product. It's to bad because Crayola is a big name when it comes to stuff such as this.
We had these and they were so horrible that after using them for the first time my daughters said just throw the rest out.
