Crayola Kids' Paints By MaggieM on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My daughter, while only two years old, is quite the artist. Aren't they all at two years old? :) I wanted to get her some paints so I tried Crayola Kids' Paints. I got her a box of six assorted colors (blue, red, green, yellow, orange and purple) that come in 2 fl.oz. size bottles, perfect size for her. I bought these at the local drugstore but I know they are available anywhere Crayola products are sold. I didn't include the price above because I cannot remember exactly what it was and I was unable to track down the exact box I bought, but I do remember that they were very inexpensive and I'm certain the box of six was under five dollars.

We have used the paints many times for a variety of projects. Sometimes I get out the paint brushes, sometimes we just use our fingers/hands. The best thing we have done with them so far is making our own wrapping paper. I got large white paper and let my daughter make handprints all over it in all the different colors. We used it to wrap Grandma's Mother's day present and as I'm sure you can imagine the paper was a huge hit!

Other than the projects we make, the greatest thing about these paints is that they really are washable! They washed easily off my daughter's skin, wiped right off the table and washed right out of her apron after just one washing.

I highly recommend Crayola Kids' Paints to any parent looking for a fun way to help your child express their creativity!

Too funny, we have these in our livingroom right now, because my 15 year old had to have them!!

These sound really fun! I'm glad they clean up so easily, that's an important part of the fun for the one who has to do the cleaning! I've seen pictures I did as a child - while I may have wanted to be an artist, my work was really horrible! LOL! I'm sure your daughter's is better, and I'm absolutely sure that her grandma LOVED the wrapping paper!

These are the only paints I let my 8 year old have. They are definitely washable. We never had a problem with getting the paint off anything!

This sounds great for my seven year old boy I don't want him to have more than just a little at a time lol or he will paint everything when we he gets his paper and or object painted . I will be looking for a set of these.
