Crescent Hotel In Eureka Springs, Ar By Kari Livingston on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
The Crescent Hotel is one of the flagship hotels in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It is the site if frequent conventions and is usually full. Built in 1886, the Crescent Hotel was at different times served as a girls' school and a cancer hospital. The current owner has restored the hotel to it's original 1886 appearance with modern touches. The rooms are somewhat smaller than modern hotels, as are the bathrooms, but they aren't uncomfortably small. The beds are comfortable and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. This is a tourist hotel, so many of the services that business users are used to are absent. Wireless Internet is available, but it's not free. The New Moon Spa and a restaurant on the first floor of the hotel and packages are offered to bundle meals and spa services into the cost of the room. The hotel is reported haunted and was featured on the SciFi Network's "Ghosthunters" series. Make sure you catch the ghost tour before you leave!
