There are not too many types of toothpaste that will prevent numerous tooth problems. Some may claim whitening; other says it will prevent cavities. But what about toothpaste in particular that has several aids that makes your teeth healthy and clean and will save you a lot of time from the dentist office?

That toothpaste is Crest Pro-Health Flouride Toothpaste, Clean Mint. Crest Pro-Health claims to stop:

Cavities

Gingivitis

Plague

Sensitivity

Tartar

Whitening

Freshens Breath

I have gingivitis and since the toothpaste claims to control plaque bacteria that help the development of gingivitis, I had a lot of hope in this product since I believed it certainly do what it says it will, all in one tube.

When I put the paste on my toothbrush, it was light blue and thick. As I was brushing, I could feel a 'grind' feel to my tooth and I love the fresh mint smell it brought to my teeth and breathe.

I'd continue to brush twice a day for two days until I decided to take a look at the active ingredient. It contained Stannous Fluoride, which causes staining of the teeth. Id' immediately were turned off from using this product again as it not only claimed to keep the teeth clean and whiten yet causes a stained teeth and a possibility of a trip to the dentist to get rid of the stain.

I doubt that I will use this product again even if it does protect the teeth from bacteria. For awhile maybe I will make my own homemade toothpaste.
