Reviewing: Crestline Vinyl / Wood, Double Hung Tilt
Purchased at: Menards

My husband has built the house we currently live in, so he had bought all the materials, from lumber to siding to windows & doors. We went to Menards and picked the windows together. Crestline was the brand we liked from the start.

For our living room, we picked Double Hung Tilt windows that conveniently tilt in for easy cleaning. When choosing between Wood (nice traditional look) and Vinyl (easier maintenance), we were pleased to discover that Crestline offered a Vinyl / Wood combination, in which the experior part of the window is made of vinyl and the interior one is wood. I think it's the smartest solution.

Crestline windows come in a variety of shapes - Rectangular, Eyebrow, Half Circle, and Gothic. Gothic is very nice, but it would not go with the overall style of our house, so we chose Rectangular. Different grille patterns are available as well; custom patterns can be ordered if you do not like the standard ones.

The windows feature EasyCare glazed glass, treated in such a way that makes the outer side of the glass smoother, so when you wash it, dirt and water runs off and the window is sparkling clean. The glazing also makes the windows energy efficient - the Zo-e-shield energy glass system is considered the world's best. It works very well, I can attest to that.
