Crestor for high cholesterol
By Karen onMy husband is taking cholesterol lowering medication, Crestor. His doctor provides him with samples and he takes it on a regular basis.
Crestor seems to be working for him.His cholesterol is within normal range. As far as side effects go, I know every drug has them.My husband doesn't seem to be experiencing any side effects, but he is a diabetic. With all of the things going on in his body, he could be having side effects and not even know it.Both my husband and I hate taking prescription medication. We are hoping that with a good diet and exercise, we can control blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol to the point where neither one of us will need medication.I have high cholesterol myself, but so far my doctor has not put me on medication because he said my good cholesterol was high.I watch my diet and am trying to lower my cholesterol by the foods that I eat (and don't eat).
All in all, I guess I would have to say my husband has been having good results with Crestor. He takes one 10 mg tablet a day, and his cholesterol has been normal while he has been on it.But his goal is to eventually get off of medication.Until then, Crestor seems to work for him.
