Crewneck Sweater- love the Windowpane design

I am not usually, a sweater kinda guy. I wear them, but I would rather wear a sweatshirt and pretend that, this is a sweater.
This "sweater" thing, has regrettably rubbed off on both of my sons. It has caused some friction between my wife and myself, so now I have become; One of those sweater guys, out of necessity.
It literally took me forty five minutes, looking over sweaters, to find a few a liked. One of the sweaters I settled on was, Dockers, Windowpane, Crewneck Sweater. I liked the name.
I tried the sweater on and it looked good. I have to admit, I am not comfortable being inclosed in a sweater, but it looked decent.
My parent dad came over for Sunday dinner and he didn't laugh at my new sweater, I was wearing. In fact, he thought it looked good on me. Suddenly, my new sweater was taking on a whole new light.
The Windowpane sweater, by Dockers is Acrylic. I am not wild about that, yet it is not itchy. It washed up good, didn't loose it's shape. It works, I refuse to wear it all the time, yet is my dad liked it, that carries a lot of weight with me.
