Crickettes And Laevets By Mary60 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When we went to Universal in December, I found this novelty gift for my grand daughter who likes that show Fear Factor. She is always pretending we are covered with bugs or eating them. These are just a couple of the four choices you can purchase(also BBQ, and Cheddar Cheese). The Crick-ettes have a Sour Cream and Onion flavor, while the Larvets are Mexican Spice. They really don't have the flavor, but taste rather plain and dry. I think just the name on the small box (1 serving) is bad enough. On the back of the crick-ettes box they even show the parts of the crick-ette. They are one serving and have 9 calories per box. The ingredients say crickets, corn starch, nonfat milk, sour cream, etc. The larvets ingredients list larva, sugar, corn, flour, spices, garlic, etc. These definitely are a fun item for the one who hates bugs. My grand daughter won't touch them, even though her grand father has eaten some. Me, I haven't tried them either, and don't plan too!!

Update Posted on :

Had left one of these on the counter, and my sister-in-law screamed bug, get the fly swatter. My husband then preceeded to eat it, and she was horrified.  How we laughted at her.  She didn't think it was funny at all...
