I received this as a wedding present and since my husband and I are big ice cream lovers we were quite excited. It's a little complicated though. You really have to read the instructions or it's easy to become frustrated using this item. While it does have some versatility in letting you create ice cream, sorbet or frozen yogurt it is a quite large item to store for something that we don't use very often. One of the reasons we don't use it more often is the maintenance. It's not the easiest piece of equipment to use and considering the substance inside it's sticky and difficult to start with. If you absolutely have to have an ice cream maker I would recommend this because it is better than many I have seen and used, however if not, just go buy it from the store. It's much simpler.
