As the proud owner of the pickiest dog on the planet, I have probably tried every premium dog food that is available. Recently, I came across Old Mother Hubbard Cupboard. Old Mother Hubbard is a division of Natura and primarily has sold pet treats until recently. Having been a huge fan of Old Mother Hubbard's wonderful high quality treats, I was eager to give this new food a try. This flavor, Lamb, Spinach and Apples is really great. It resembles a stew in appearance, with hearty chunks of all the main ingredients. It has a nice gravy, but the gravy does not over power the amount of food in the can. Most importantly, Old Mother Hubbard does not use any wheat gluten in their formulas. Wheat Gluten was the main source of the large pet recall in early 2007. This food is free of artificial colors and flavoring and meets all AAFCO requirements. The Cupboard Classic line has six recipes in all.
