Vaseline is the best moisturizer, lubricant, wound dressing and househould fix all. I initially bought the vaseline for lip moisturizer, because there is no alcohol or ingredients that will dry out my lips. I used it everyday for a week last winter and my lips were less chapped then they had ever been. I applied it before I went to sleep each night and I would wake up with kissably soft lips the next morning. I would then reapply before I went to work each day. I only put it on 2x a day and my lips stayed soft all day. Then one day I was out of neosporin for a cut, so I cleaned my cut with alcohol and then covered it with vaseline. The cut healed and the scab stayed flexible and moist. Lastly one day I was out of WD-40 and I needed to stop my kitchen cabinet from squeaking, so I used some vaseline to coat the hinge, it worked perfectly. Every house needs a tub of vaseline !
