Curio Cabinet Holds Many Treasures
By JPnMO onThe small items I treasure need to be in a place where they can be seen, but not bothered. There are too many little hands, not to mention a dog who could break any of these items quite easily. A curio cabinet is exactly where they need to be.
I chose to hang my cabinet so that it was harder to reach and couldn't be tipped over. The location is such that I can still see the items on display with no problem.
In my cabinet, I have everything from a tiny porcelain Limoges case brought as a gift from France to very old tiny glass bottles that were found in the dirt basement of my parents 1865 home. Even Bambi, a souvenir from my first trip to DisneyWorld has a special place in my cabinet. There are no rules as to what should be on display. If you like it, show it off.
My curio has 3 shelves with a mirror on the back. The front door has glass panels. It is the perfect setting for the various items I have chosen to display there and there are many times that I walk by and stop, remembering the history of one or more of the pieces. A curio cabinet is perfect for these items. They come in all sizes and many different styles. Eventually, I'd like to get a large one to display my grandmother's old dishes and other items I've collected from my ancestors. Those are some of my most treasured belongings and they deserve a special place where they can be displayed. A curio cabinet is exactly where they belong.

Beautiful cabinet, we need these for our treasures!!!
