Curly The Pig By Tina Lehman on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Curly the Pig, by Usborne Books, is a story about a little pig who escapes from his pig pen. A little girl and her dog search for him everywhere before finally finding him.
On each page of the book is hidden a small rubber ducky. My daughter loves to go through the book and find the ducks. In fact, this is the best thing about this book, as the story is very short and not very interesting.
The illustrations are nice. We have the board version of this book, and it's held up well despite my daughter's chewing on it (the fact that she wants to chew on it rather than read it speaks volumes with regard to the story).
Like most other Usborne books for kids this age, I would not recommend this book.

Shoot! The idea of the story sounded like it was going to be a good one. Too bad they didn't get it right.
OK, so the story's not that great. Still, at least she had some fun finding the ducks and chewing on the book! LOL! Thanks!
Sounds like it could have been a cute story. I am getting hte picture that these books are not really all that.
I never have been impressed with Usborne's books. I think they cater to a niche pool of parents, but aren't as widely read by the general reading population. They just don't have the timeless appeal of Scarry, Seuss or even A.A. Milne.
