Curtains On Broadway By tinkerbelle22 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Broadway musical Curtains is currently playing in New York City at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. It is a fun musical comedy that I think just about anyone can enjoy.

Curtains is about a musical that is playing in Boston in the 1950's. One of the members of the cast is murdered and a police lieutenant tries to figure out who did it. I thought that the storyline was very clever and throughout the show I kept trying to look for clues that would identify who the killer was. But I was stumped and really surprised at the outcome.

I didn't find the music in Curtain very catchy, but it was still very good and fit well with the show. I just didn't leave the theatre humming and songs.

David Hyde Pierce, from the TV show Frasier, played the leading role, and he was outstanding. I loved his character and thought that he did such a great job. He was a real Broadway pro on stage, singing and dancing just wonderfully. Actually, I thought that all of the cast members were fantastic and very funny.

I had a discount code that I found online for my ticket, so I paid $45, which is considerably less than what the tickets normally sell for. They range from $60-$112. I don't think that I would pay that much to see the show, but it was definitely worth my $45.

Overall, Curtains is a fun night at the theatre, so if you are in New York City, I would check it out.
