Cut And Run By Eggy on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have had this electric knife for about 5 years. I don't really use it very often, but when the need arises, it is nice to have around.

This knife set is very reasonably priced. It comes with a carving fork, protective sleeve for the blades, and a nice plastic carrying case (which I protect in its original box). The nice thing about the carrying case is that you know where the various parts are even if you use it infrequently.

This is a corded electric knife. If you want to cut things at the dining table you might want to consider a cordless one. However, the corded one has good power and you don't need to remember to charge it.

The serrated edged blades are sharp and require no sharpening. They are designed for soft materials not for cutting bones (keep your cleaver at hand for that). It comes in handy sometimes for art projects like cutting large pieces of foam into different shapes.

It has a two year defect and one year overall warranty. There are instructions in English and French.

I could live without my Hamilton Beach Carve'n Set though sometimes it comes in useful.

We use ours fairly often and have had it for some time - blades are still extremely sharp - but then, turkey and roasts are about the only use it gets. Thanks for the info on this ;)
