Cutco Is Worth The Price! By xshellyx on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I bought this knife about 7 years ago when a friend of ours gave a Cutco showing in our home. I have seen these for $50 brand new on ebay but I believe we paid a bit more at the time. I have NEVER paid that much for a knife before but now, 7 years later, that knife still is like new.
The handle is shaped in a way I've never seen before, unique to the Cutco brand. It fits my hand like a glove and makes this knife a pleasure to work with. The blade is 6.75" long and stainless steel. I usually try to handwash it, but it has been in the dishwasher several times and looks amazing. I don't think that the dishwasher would hurt it one bit if it were continually washed that way. I have used it to cut everything from a turkey, raw meat, fruits and vegetables to bread and am never disapointed with it's performance.
Cutco will sharpen the blade for free if you pay a small return shipping fee and they have a forever guarantee on all their products. Best of all, they are made in the USA! I hope to be able to buy more Cutco pieces in the future.
Cutco Petite Carver Purchased at: ebay Price: 50.00

We have some Cutcos too-you do spend a little bit more but they seem to last for a lifetime!
My cousin used to sell cutco products and my mom bought some from him. She loves her cuttlery set. Sounds like a great investment!
I have never heard of this brand before but I do know that one of the most important tools in the kitchen is a great knife.
Sounds like a great knife! I like that they will sharpen it for you.
For a blade to be still working this well after 7 years, I would have to put some serious consideration into purchasing a Cutco knife when I am next in the market for cutlery.
Sounds like a great quality knife, I like their sharpening the knife for free.
This sounds like a great knife, thanks for the info.
I really need some better knives. I have never had a good set. This seems like a great one. Glad it is still working so well for you!
These sound like excellent quality knives, but I have never even paid $50 for a whole butcher block full of knives, lol. Then again, I'm not a big fan of cooking, lol.
I have a set of these and hate them so much...I am really glad you like yours! :)
