Cute Wise Owl Lamp

My apartment didn't have ceiling lights which was weird because all of the other apartments I've seen in this area have some sort of lighting in the ceiling. Those switches have to turn something on! So for awhile I was living in the dark because of this. I finally went out to look for a lamp.
I went to Urban Outfitters because I know they have really stylish and cute home furnishings. And then I saw this cute white owl lamp base and I just fell in love! I wish it wasn't $25.00 though! The base stands about 7 inches tall and it's 6 inches wide. There's felt on the bottom for stabilty and it's made out of ceramic. It's fairly light! They don't have boxes for them aparrently so I just took one that was out. I also notice that it does not come with a lamp shade either! Don't lamps usually come with shades? Well the only good part was that they had many selections of shades to choose from, and I just choose one with the circular birdies to compliment the owl. The bad part was that the shade was also $25! So together it was $50 for a lamp and shade! And I had to go out and buy a light bulb. Geez so much money just to get some lighting in my room! But you know I love this cute owl, so I think it's worth it.

What a cute lamp! You would think that this would have come with a lamp but at least you got to choose the color that you wanted!

Weird that it didn't come with a shade. But it is cute. I have lived in apartments with no over head lights in some of the rooms and it drove me crazy! Glad you aren't living in the dark anymore :0)
Cute lamp! Most of the lamps I've ever bought, I've had to buy the shade separately. but then at least I got what I wanted, not what just came with my lamp. The shade you picked out is perfect for your new lamp!
