Is talcum powder a beauty product? Yes, believe it. Let me explain. Many times, ladies with oily skin will know it is no fun having the shiny face after applying your makeup foundation. I know there are a lot of face powders from branded names around. But, if you are looking for thrifty ideas and good results, try Cuticura talcum powder.

The talcum powder is hypoallergenic so people with sensitive skin have nothing to fear. Yes, it is safe to use it on your face.

My personal trick is, I always apply my makeup foundation as usual. I waited for the foundation to set and then using a makeup sponge, use a minimal amount of Cuticura talcum powder and press onto your face to take away the shine. Don't use too much powder though. You don't want to be white-faced. You just want to use the talcum to give you the non-shiny matt look.

I had used many face powder before but non is as effective in eliminating shine as Cuticura. My makeup stays matt longer and touch ups are just as easy. Just remember don't be heavy handed with the powder.
