Danelectro Fab Tone Distortion Pedal By Patrick on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This pedal packs a pretty heavy punch, with retro style. This is a fairly inexpensive distortion pedal, but still has great sound. The case is rock solid, and is styled to a 50's, fins and all. You can completely change the sound of the distortion to whatever style you want simply by turning a few knobs. Adjustability is wonderful, with controls for volume, treble, bass, and "fab" which is Danelectro term for distortion, or gain. With this, you can go from a grainy, bluesy sound to a ripping, heavy metal tone in a few seconds. I have heard other distortion pedals, whose tones and sounds I have liked better than this one, but everyone has their own opinion and this pedal certainly does have a good sound. For the style and price, its hard to beat the Danelectro Fab Tone pedal.
