Danny And The Dinosaur Go To Camp By Syd Hoff By a-w-omyn on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

If your child(ren) love dinosaurs, like mine do, then this is a wonderful book to get them started on the road to reading. Syd Hoff has a few of these, with various themes, from summer camp (like this one) to birthday parties, to general stories about Danny and his beloved dinosaur.

The book is published by Harper Collins, and this particular story is level one, for very early readers. It has a simple story line, with simple words, that is still engaging and fun.

It may be a bit advanced for very young children, having a few longer or otherwise more difficult words and phrases ("dinosaur", for instance, is a difficult one to 'sound out' phonetically).

Other than that, I have no complaints. The book is fun, especially for the many children out there who obsess over dinosaurs, and there's nothing gruesome (like a wolf eating a grandmother) that parents might have to watch out for.
