Dark Faith's Terrains Vagues By ThePitGoddess on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Tampa metallers Dark Faith released their first full length in 2007. The CD is overall aggressive, worthy of headbanging. My standout songs are Suffering and Winds of Bone Dust. Suffering has some sweet blast work on drums and catchy riffs. . I can hear the keyboards clearly, and they add atmosphere. The build up is awesome and is well timed . The solo fit well into the song, and is enough to satisfy any shredder. The whole song is capped off by Pete's vocals , which give the song a whole other element . Winds of Bone Dust starts off with a ripping intro and Pete's screams, which remind me of early death metal. Pete's vocals are varied throughout, with screams and gutturals. The guitar riffs are melodic without being cheesy. Even the breakdown is brutal and heavy. The solo comes out of nowhere, and makes me want to play air guitar while I punch babies. Overall, I found this CD enjoyable and a good fit to any rotation.
