Dark Tort By Diane Mott Davidson By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I devour books like some people devour candy. I am a voracious reader, and I enjoy most of the books that I read. I have enjoyed the Goldy Culinary Mysteries written by Diane Mott Davidson very much. I find the books amusing, and I love to see what trouble our heroine Goldy gets herself into.

Goldy Schulz runs a catering business, and in Dark Tort she is under contract to cater business breakfasts and lunches for a law firm in her hometown of Aspen Meadow, Colorado. An up-and-coming paralegal at the firm, Dusty Routt, is found dead, by Goldy, no less. This young lady also happened to be one of Goldy's neighbors. Dusty's mother does not trust the police (she has her reasons) and wants Goldy to do what she can to find out what happened to her daughter. So Goldy is in the midst of another murder, and it is very entertaining to read about Goldy's adventures and how she handles the latest situation in which she finds herself.

Diane Mott Davidson's culinary mysteries all star our heroine, Goldy, and her zany cast of fellow characters. There are also recipes featured in each book. I do enjoy this mystery series, and I also enjoyed reading Dark Tort.
