DARYL HALL JOHN OATES: 'Do It For Love'
By David Nesteby onI can't quite see the writing on this copyright, so I'm sorry to say that one of my great reviewing qualities has been hampered by an un-readable release date/cd cover and content. My recollection says it is a 2002 or 2003 release, but I can not be sure without an online search. I think i will wing it and make that educated guess.
This release is a big favorite of my wife, and she likes to sing along to every song on this album/cd. All of the songs are well recorded, and show the experience that these two singers have for producing music. This cd is an easy listening release, and as I said before, it is a hard one to read. Even the titles are un-readable. I believe that this duo has an exceptional gift when it comes to writing the lyrics to their songs, but that thier producer has 'Super Human' reading capabilities. I write lyrics, and have really learned a bunch from these two Awesome writers. Not much from the producer though.
One of the songs titled on the release that I do know the name of is, 'Forever For You', a song that brings shivers down my spine and goose bumps on my skin. This is the best love song/commitment song ever writen on this planet. This song alone is what makes this cd worth buying. I dance with my wife to this beautiful masterpiece.
Another great song on this release is the song 'Getaway Car', a great slow song about running away to a new place. The music in this song is classic in nature, as the keyboard sounds like an organ. I really enjoy this one, as we both dance to this one as well.
The mix of tunes on this cd are excellent, some sounding funky, some sounding blue-sy, most are excellent to listen too.
Like it is with most bands, there are a few songs that aren't that great, but overall, this is a great buy. I got it for $7.99 used, at Hastings., and I am very pleased. You should like it as well if you have that lady that likes to dance!
