Dashboard Confessional: Mtv Unplugged By Blastoderm55 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

If you're looking to spend $15 on hearing about 50 teenage girls sing along to some great songs, I've got just the product for ya. Dashboard Confessional: MTV Unplugged is a wonderful collection of songs that has been ruined by incessant crowd noise (singing) and a frontman who appeared to be taking the night off in singer Chris Carraba. Favorites from Dashboard Confessional's earliest recordings are featured in this acoustic offering, and what could have been a beautiful performance was massacred by far too much audience participation. This is definitely not Nirvana: Unplugged. Also included in this CD/DVD set is the DVD of the actual MTV performance, once again, featuring an audience that was not drowned out, much to the dismay of this buyer. If you're a fan of Dashboard Confessional, look for their earlier discs as this set will leave you with a bad taste in your mouth and an unsatisfactory ringing in your ears.
