Datsun 280ZX Turbo comfort and style
By Arplix Franklin onFor being a 1982 this car is amazing! The seats are very comfortable and the car has serious balls. The turbos weren't made for long and the turbo engine is nice. It gets you going and for being pretty old it only needs normal things like oil changes.
It is great on gas especially on 16 hour trips to Texas. I also like the fact that it doesn't look like every other car on the road anymore. I've always enjoyed my sense of individuality and that goes with what I'm riding in.
It has a very smooth and sleek body. It's very small and the locking t-top is awesome. It's also actual metal and not fiber glass except the front part around the head lights. One of it's really nice features is the locking gas tank. You no longer have to worry about someone stealing gas from you.
As you can see from the pictures it is a very nice that's what ours looked like before a Fed Ex driver "kissed" in the passenger side with his truck. It's still running though and did just cosmetic damage. Hopefully will get it restored back to original soon and it will be shining like new again.

I love, love, love these cars. My first car was a 1981 280 ZX. Up until a few years ago I still drove it. It needs a few minor details to get back up and going again (they're pricey or I'd be driving it again now). Plus I want to get some interior restoration done. These cars run and run and you just gotta love the rack and pinion too. I hope you get yours fixed soon. Good luck!
We have a few things that need to be done we just got the water pump replaced. The heater heats but not well, the passenger side seat is broken, power steering fluid doesn't seem to stay in very long we think there might be a leak and it need a serious tune up. Other then that though a lot of the replacement stuff we can get at a pick and pull. I hope we get it done here in the next year or so. I'd like to give it a few test drives myself.
I also used to have a 280 Z. Loved everything about it!
I bought a 280ZX a couple months ago. After years of Buicks, Toyotas, and a Kia, the Nissan is a blast to drive.
oh man i love this car and even more the 300zx twin turbo
I love this car, beautiful style for the time. A true classic!
I too loved this car but unfortunately never got to own one. My cousin did though and we have a blast driving around town in it. Thanks for the memory.
very old cars. Hard to get parts for. Other then that, great car, needs to be revered for any power.
