Dawn Simple Pleasures Dish Soap By Gayle Parks on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I don't know how many of you still wash dishes by hand but I assume a few of you do. I have used Dawn Dishwashing Liquid for many years and it is a good quality dish soap. It cuts grease and has long lasting suds so when they introduced the new Dawn Simple Pleasures I tried it. The scent I tried was called Water Lilies and Jasmine. Sounds mighty fancy for a dish soap but the scent was nice when I washed dishes and was different from the usual orange or lemon scent. Another nice little difference is the built-in air freshner on the bottom of the bottle. There is a small little container of scented beads attached to the bottom of the bottle. You remove a little strip to release the fragrance. At first this was a nice, fresh addition to my kitchen but over time it became overwhelming. Perhaps it was the scent I chose and the other scents available would not be so strong but Water Lilies and Jasmine will knock you out. If you like to try new scents and fragrances for your home, by all means try it...but if you are sensitive to scents or allergic you might want to be careful.
I just wanted to add that I am using the Lemon and Tangerine scent now and it is not near as strong as the Water Lilies and Jasmine.
Dawn Simpe Pleasures Water Lily and Jasmine Purchased at: Food Lion Price: $1.79

I've used Dawn dish washing detergent many times, but not this particular product with the built-in room freshener. The Water Lily and Jasmine sounds a bit strong for me, since I'm sensitive to some florals. I'd like to try the Dawn Simple Pleasures Lemon & Tangerine. Dawn detergent is great for cutting grease and has long lasting suds. It's one of my favorites.
I do love Dawn but not all that thrilled with the added expense for the air freshner on the bottom. I will continue to use the dish soap though.
I have seen this at the store - now I know what to expect if I decide to buy it. thanks
I have a dishwasher, but there are still certaint hings I was by hand. Good info to have.
Unfortunatly, yes we wash dishes! So I know that the soap can make a world of difference. This one sounds very nice.
